Please note: the retail store has closed, we are leaving these posts up for historical purposes.
Whew, I think I can actually take a breath before diving into Christmas week! The site seems stable, I’ve moved all the data to our new domain and pointed all the old domains to it, set up new email addresses … It was nearly as bad as actually moving, instead of only virtually moving.
With the holidays fast approaching, we are expanding our retail store hours beginning this Sunday, December 21, when we’ll be open noon to 8 p.m. We’ll be open 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. We’ll close Thursday, but then be right back at it 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday and Saturday. If we’re busy enough, I plan to keep these hours up until the New Year.
So, here’s what you’ve missed since I’ve been too busy fixing stuff to tell you what we’re actually doing with the store. We’ve really expanded our inventory, and I’m working to get all the new stuff loaded into the online store.
One of the coolest additions to our collection is leopard geckos. In addition to the typical patterning, we are carrying some beautiful designer morphs including Ghost, Mack Snow, Tremper Albino, and Bell’s Albino. We have a couple Mack Snow patternless that are stunning as well. And, with some of our specimens weighing in at 70 grams or more, they are the perfect choice for breeders looking to add to their stock.
I also brought in some corn snakes and ball pythons. Corn snakes amaze me with the number of color morphs that are available. We currently have a pair of motleys, a motley albino, and a carmel. If you are looking for one of the more rare morphs, let us know, and I’ll find it, as we have several breeders we’re working with. Our ball pythons are all normals, but if you are looking for a morph, we can track those down, too.
Last, but not least, we’ve picked up a bunch of tarantulas. I won’t go into a lot of detail here, because I also posted info about them on the front page of the store. Those are already up on the site, so check them out. We’ve got a bunch of baby salmon pink bird-eating tarantulas, and are offering a great deal on multiple purchases – much less than normal wholesale cost!
We also built our indoor greenhouse, and after the first of the year, look for us to add even more rare tropical plants, including orchids. More on this later, as well as more info on our extensive selection of pre-built naturalistic terrariums that are ready for you to drop in a poison dart frog or gecko.
Happy frogging (snaking, geckoing, and spidering)
